Many RAYS held their own against the Storm beating out their competitors for top placements. Windham, Pelham, and Salem RAYS swimmers scoring among the top three in individual events were as follows: 8 & Under Girls: Erin Prendergast (Windham) – first in 25 Free, second in 25 Breast; Melina Fedele (Windham) – first in 100 IM, 25 Fly and 50 Free; Jordon Dolliver (Pelham) – third in 25 Back 8 & Under Boys: Miller Swank (Windham) – first in 25 Back, second in 25 Free, third in 25 Breast

Windham, Salem, and Pelham took to the vault, bars, beam and floor over the past several weeks, coming up with a strong start to their 2011-2012 season. The girls, all members of the Phantom Gymnastics team of Hampstead, competed over two weekends in meets in Massachusetts facing intense competition to stake out several first place wins, including a first place for the Level 7 team at the 2011 Holiday Invitational Meet in Middleton, MA. Harvest meet in Worcester, MA, over the weekend of November 19-20. Levels 7 to 9 also competed at the Holiday Invitational on December 3. Some of the highlights include: Level 5 - The team took third place at the Pilgrim Harvest. Kasey Hartman of Salem cored a 9.0 on vault, 9.2 on bars for second, a 9.375 on floor for third, and a 36.150 in the all-around for


fourth place. Sydney Chretien of Salem cored a 9.1 on beam, 9.2 on floor, and a 35.35 in the all-around. Emily Jones of Salem cored a 9.15 on bars for third place, and a 34.3 in the all-around. Level 6 - The team took fourth place at the Pilgrim Harvest.

Kaitlyn, Melina and Erin were joined by Emma Hazard to take first place in the 100 freestyle relay as well.

Jules Teichert, Anna Gruchot and Emily Martsolf (Windham) placed second. 11-12 Boys: Jason Domogala, Rishi Krothapali, Max Swank (Windham) and Addison Carder- Cannillo placed first in the 200 Freestyle Relay. 13-14 Girls: Sara Muller, Brianna Nowicki, Anna Matsco (Windham) and Rebekah Terry placed second in the 200 Medley Relay. Sara, Brianna and Anna were joined by Laura Pomeroy (Windham) to place first in the 200 Freestyle Relay while second RAYS team of Samantha Jones, Alli Martin, Tessa Gustafson (Windham) and Isabella Spagnuolo placed second in this event. 15-16 Girls: Julia Bushell (Windham), Jessica Martin, Meghan O’Connor (Windham), Tori Claverie placed first in the 200 Medley Relay while the team of Angela Bleeker and Emily Matsco (Windham), Ellen Courtemanche and Katie Soraghan (Litchfield) placed second in this event. Julia, Jessica and Tori were joined by Ellen in the 200 Freestyle Relay to take first place. 15-16 Boys: Kyle McKenzie, Nick Bergstrom, Alex Dimes and Mitch Williams teamed up to place first in the 200 Freestyle Relay and second in the 200 Medley Relay.
