Founded in 1934, Biggin Hill & District Residents’ Association is committed to serving the community of Biggin Hill. Chairman David Haslam provides an update on the group’s current work.


Police Front Counter Service: Front counter services at the Safer Neighbourhoods police offices throughout the borough are at risk of being closed, to be replaced with just one front counter per borough. This would be a retrograde step and we would ask all residents to write to the Borough Commander, Charles Griggs, to request that we retain our local front counter service for Biggin Hill & Darwin.


320 Bus Service:We continue to monitor problems with the 320 bus service since Transport for London decided to extend the service to terminate at Catford. We ask any resident who still experiences problems with this service to contact us. We will ensure all reported problems are logged and reported to Transport for London. We hope to be able to demonstrate how the service has declined since the extension of the service to Catford was established.


Biggin Hill airport: Your association was happy to support the bid by Biggin Hill airport to vary the terms of the lease for the period of the 2012 London Olympics. However, we accept the initial decision of the London Borough of Bromley to refuse to grant the request. It just seems sad that at a time when Bromley Council is faced with making saving of
