Area Gymnasts Compete in NH Judges Cup

submitted by Sue Lock The Phantom Gymnastics Prep Op team recently competed in its first meet of the season at the NH Judges Cup in Brentwood. It was a great start to the season as all three levels; Novice, Intermediate, and Advanced, won the first place team trophies. The girls also took six of the first place individual all around titles. In the Novice Division, Brittney Waller of Salem placed first in the all around in the Child age group with a 37.325. She also took first on vault, bars, and floor, and third on beam. Brytni Benjamin of Windham placed second in the all around with a 36.975. She took first on beam and placed second on vault and floor. In the Senior age group, Kierstin Lock of Salem placed first in the all around with a 36.35. She also came in first on bars and floor, second on vault, and third on beam.

In the Intermediate Division, Erin Faber of Salem placed first in the all around in the Child age group with a 37.375 and took first on vault, bars, and floor. In the Junior age group, Julia Worden of Windham placed first on vault and floor and third on bars. In the Senior age group, Amber Chopelas of Salem placed second in the all around with a 35.65, along with placing second on floor, and third on vault and beam. Ashley Myer of Salem took third on bars and beam. In the Advanced Division, Leah Faber of Salem placed first in the all around in the Child age group with a 36.4 and took first on bars, beam, and floor. In the Senior age group, Nicole Faber of Salem placed third in the all around. She also came in second place on bars and floor, and third on vault. Lilly Oliveri, also of Salem, placed third on beam and floor.


Hudson United U10 Girls Participate in Halloween Jamboree


submitted by Dave Fortin The Hudson United U10 Girls participated in the Hampstead Halloween Jamboree on November 6 and dressed up as the Stanley Cup Champion Boston Bruins! All the girls worked hard and had a blast, especially since they got to carry and show off the Stanley Cup from game to game. From left to right are Abbey, Brenna, Lexi, Ella, Kelly, Hannah L., Hannah F., Lily, and Maddy. Proud coaches are Dave and Anna in back.
