FSPECIAL OPTIONS OR WAWAYANDA & HIRD CAMPERS

ROCK BAND Grades 8-10 Available all sessions

Rock Band is a program specially designed for budding musicians in Camp Henry Hird who want to learn how bands work and experience the fun of making music in a group environment. Campers bring their instruments to camp and join other musicians to learn together. They will receive two hours of supervised practice each day.

Each two-week session will touch upon the essential ingredients necessary to make a good band thrive and succeed. Communication on and off the stage, the art of compromise, how to find the right places to practice and perform, staging a great show, performing professionally and how to get that first gig!

Campers will delve into different musical genres and explore the history of a wide variety of artists and movements such as blues, rock, punk, soul, funk, heavy metal and more! Also campers will get to name their band, create an image and identity and design a logo. The session will culminate in a live performance for the rest of camp!
