Frost Valley YMCA is the premier year-round camping and retreat center in the heart of New York’s Catskill Mountains and a favorite choice for parents seeking an engaging, affordable summer camp experience for their children. Our 6,000-acre camp offers one of the most breathtaking, natural settings in the country, surrounded by 250,000 acres of “forever wild” Catskill Forest Preserve. We host more than 35,000 guests annually. Families, schools and retreat groups strengthen their ties while enjoying free time together - exploring a wide range of outdoor choices meant to renew, challenge and relax. At the heart of our offerings is a resident summer camp for children ages 7 to15 and an exciting adventure trips program for those ages 11 to 17.


Our roots reach back to 1901, when we established one of the nation’s first overnight camps for children. We remain true to the Y mission and our non-profit commitment to bring children of all backgrounds and abilities together in our enriching, life-changing community of summer camp. In the following pages, we’ve tried to put pictures and words to Frost Valley, and the many ways your family can become part of it.


For over one hundred years, our values and purpose remain the same to put Judeo/Christian principles into practice through programs that build healthy spirit, mind and body for all. As a charitable organization, we raise funds throughout the year for camperships that cover the costs of camp for children who would not otherwise be able to attend.
