we value RESPONSIBIL ITY EAST VALLEY RANCH
East Valley Ranch is located in our East valley along the Neversink River and is all about horses. The ranch features a 28 stall horse barn, 3 arenas, and miles of trails. Our outstanding horses, dedicated instructors, and counselors with a passion for horses make this a truly wonderful environment. Every program at East Valley Ranch will create an open and accepting environment for girls to build confidence and develop leadership skills while making new friends.
2 Week Program Girls only, Grades 5 and up, min. age 10 Available all sessions
East Valley Ranch is a place just for girls like you! Each day girls will be responsible for their own horse including wrangling, feeding, grooming, tacking and cleaning. After preparing their horse, they will spend 2-3 hours in the saddle. Ride time will focus on improving their skills during ring lessons and exploration of scenic trails. The day will also include ground lessons on multiple horse topics including basic veterinary care, nutrition, and round pen work. Girls will have the opportunity to try vaulting and driving to discover other uses for horses. During one activity period a day girls will enjoy hiking, arts & crafts, sports, and games. This will inspire you to become a cowgirl, independent, confident, and strong in all walks of life.
4 Week Advanced Program Girls only, Grades 7 and up, min. age 12 July 1-27
For advanced riders who already have consistent control at the walk, trot, and canter, we have a special NEW program. This month-long adventure will provide new challenges, riding opportunities, and guest presenters for our most advanced campers. This program is designed to enhance and perfect riding technique. Girls will work on drill team maneuvers, learn horse training techniques, discover ways to coach and teach other riders, and much more. As with every program we teach, girls learn confidence and independence to take home and apply to their everyday life. Join us for this new program at East Valley Ranch - where cowgirls ride!
