State Farm® to spur creation of new job opportunities in Chicago market by 2013

In this time of economic uncer-

State Farm is focused on growing and continuing to serve the people of Chicago with remarkable cus- tomer service in their times of need. To that end, the intention is to increase the number of agent offices so that there is increased accessibil-

“Whether shopping online or in- person, ultimately, people want to buy insurance and financial services from someone they trust,” said Roger Kruel,

Agency Field

Executive for State Farm. “There’s a lot of opportunity in Chicago right now for agents who have an entre- preneurial spirit and who want to build that relationship with their community.”

The 52 new agents will be in addition to the more than 700 exist- ing State Farm Agents in the Chicago market.

State Farm seeks people who are active in their community, have a desire to help people and want to be in charge of their financial future. Insurance experience is not required.

“I’ve always wanted to be a small business owner”, said LaTorya Street, a State Farm agent who opened a new office in Chicago’s Austin neighborhood, “and with State Farm I feel good about starting a business focused on helping peo- ple and communities.”

New agents have the distinct ben- efit of the name recognition that comes with State Farm. Other
