Saltburn Animal Rescue Association.

A small charity seeking to rescue and re-home cats and dogs, Tel: 01642 488108 (weekdays only, 10am to 2pm). SARA has many dogs and cats that need new homes. All are clean, healthy, neutered, vaccinated and microchipped.

Good day People! Today we have a big ask because we are two like minded boys who really, really would like to be homed together. We didn’t know each other till Alfie came to SARA but now we are such good friends we’d hate to be parted. Having a good friend is important to us. My name is Finch and I was found as a very underweight and battered stray. Not only was my body in a bad way but so was my mood; I was depressed and gloomy. I came to SARA and quite quickly my body healed and I got healthy. And guess what as my body got better so did my mood and I turned into a playful and very loving fellow. I was put in one of the kennels and I really liked

other dogs but then my special buddy came in. His name is Alfie and he was a bit neglected and his coat was dull and not in good shape and so was his mood. Apparently he was “rescued” from his home by a very nice man who had two other dogs and Alfie loved them. Unfortunately he also had a cat and true to type Alfie just wanted to chase the cat and I don’t know what he would have done if he had caught it but it probably wouldn’t be nice. Anyway the man was very upset about having to hand Alfie over and so was Alfie. To cut a long story short he was brought to SARA and put in the next kennel to me and we bonded, so now we are in the same kennel and we love to play and chat to each other. We both have good coats and are bright eyed and

alert. In fact we only lack one thing and that is.... Yes, you guessed it, we would like a home where we can be

together and live a happy life. We need some humans to love because despite our bad starts in life we do love being with people and we need to have some to give our love to. Don’t be fooled by our looks, we don’t need masses of long walks, just some, and if you have somewhere we can run round we will be very, very happy. Of course no cats or any other small furry creatures because we chase them instinctively. A bit like a cat chasing things that move fast. We are both getting towards middle age I am 6 and so is Alfie although he may be a couple of months older than me, and we are generally very well behaved. Alfie is very gentle and calm and so am I, so please give us a chance. We know you can do it as Molly from last month

has a new home now and is very happy. Thank you, Finch and Alfie.
