Shaping and sculpting Outstanding skills and creativity were unearthed in a two day ArtStart stone carving workshop held at the Old School House Wattamondara (near Cowra) in October. Participants worked on individual stone sculptures carved from the soft coraline limestone from Mount Gambier, instructed by local artist Ken Hutchinson. ArtStart, funded by TAFE NSW, runs every two years, providing opportunities across the region for young people (aged 12-25) to experience and develop professional arts skills.
