Exhibition dates: Sunday 22 April to Saturday 2 June 2012


Participate in a 10-day ‘once in a lifetime’ experience where they will meet, live and work closely with 11 other emerging Circus and Physical Theatre artists from all around Australia (Including metropolitan, Regional and Remote regions.)


• Work with two of Australia most prominent and well regarded Circus/ Physical Theatre Artists/Directors.

Perform a 30-minute work at the National Youth Circus and Physical Theatre Festival.

Catapult 2012 Registration Emerging circus and physical theatre artists who wish to be involved in this project need to be nominated by a youth circus/ physical theatre company, a high school teacher or tertiary lecturer or a circus/ physical theatre artist, director and /or community worker. The Cowra Regional Art Gallery. 2012 Calleen Art Award The Calleen Art Award is a nationally recognised annual acquisitive painting award valued at $16,000 in 2012. Entry is open to artists over 18 years, living and working in Australia. Entries must be an original artwork in any painting medium including oils, acrylic or watercolour.

2012 Central West Regional Artists Award The Central West Regional Artists Award was established in 2009 by the Cowra Regional Art Gallery with the generous support of a private donor. The award is non-acquisitive and the winner will receive $2,000 and the opportunity of an exhibition at the Cowra Regional Art Gallery during 2013/2014. Entry is open to artists over 18 years, living and working in Central West NSW as defined by the local government areas of Bathurst, Blayney, Cabonne, Cowra, Forbes, Lachlan, Lithgow, Mudgee/ Gulgong (Mid Western Region), Oberon, Orange, Parkes, Weddin and Wellington. Entries must be an original work in i) any painting medium including oils, acrylic and watercolour or ii) any drawing medium on paper. Note: Artists living in Central West NSW (as defined above) may enter the same artwork into both Awards if the entered artwork is in any painting medium (see the entry form for more details).
