Welcome to Rotary Today

Secretariat at Alcester wish all Rotarians in RIBI a very happy and peaceful Christmas. We have now reached the halfway stage of another Rotary year, a year in which we hope to achieve much with Membership taking centre stage. Ray Burman, the RIBI President, was featured well in The Rotarian, the RI magazine with a circulation of 500,000. Our own PR guru, Rebecca Warner, wrote the story and guess what it was about. Secretary, John Hewko, on a webinar, and I have to say I was very impressed with this man. No stranger to this country, John studied at Oxford University. He will soon become a Rotarian before making visits to Italy, Switzerland, our office in Zurich, India, and Australia. His Rotary ideals are perfect and we wish him a long and happy stay in Evanston. It would be remiss of me if I did not mention the internal
flooding at Alcester. The Secretariat, now working in portacabins, have coped admirably during the past few months as they have kept RIBI going through very difficult circumstances. You are to be congratulated, well done. Well, that is just about it for 2011, have a great Christmas, and remember, there is still plenty of Rotary work to be done in 2012.
