Debbie Slade Director Centre for the Arts Brock University
The holiday season is upon us and we are ready. With no less than thirteen performances during the month of December, our holiday lineup is suitable for all ages and there is enough variety to suit all tastes. Why not make a night out at the theatre a holiday tradition?
You can celebrate Christmas with some of Canada's best vocalists such as Michelle Wright, Mark Masri and John McDermott or take in a tried-and-true seasonal favourite such as The Nutcracker or A Leahy Family Christmas - now including the next generation of "little Leahys!"
For their first time in St. Catharines and first ever Chistmas show, don't miss your chance to celebrate Navidad with the GRAMMY-winning Spanish Harlem Orchestra. Cap that all off with two family fun performances of the hilarious and interactive The Life and Adventures of Santa Claus and find out what growing up as Santa was like.
December also includes a food drive for Community Care. Our patrons annually donate over a thousand pounds of non-perishable food items. Any contribution is truly appreciated.
Although we're not downtown yet, it's not too early to SHOW your support of live arts in our community. The new year is also action-packed, including a stellar lineup of jazz and soul international legends.
So cozy up to our stage all winter long!

Welcome to another great season at the Centre for the Arts.
As a partner for growth and progress in the Niagara community, Brock University is an energetic supporter of the arts.
I am enormously proud of the contribution made by the Centre for the Arts to the cultural life of the region and beyond, as shown by yet another rich lineup of world-class entertainment coming to our stage this season.
For years, thousands of patrons have enjoyed performances at the Centre for the Arts, regarded by many as Niagara’s cultural heart. We have been treated to a kaleidoscope of top-notch productions, while our children have been treated to programs that give them a lively introduction to the performing arts.
And the Centre for the Arts also plays a crucial role in the development of Brock’s own students, enhancing their educational experience by giving them access to outstanding Canadian and international artists.
On behalf of the Brock community, I extend best wishes to the Centre for the Arts for its exciting new season, and I thank you — our patrons — for your continued support.
Enjoy the show!
