Grey Coat Issue 16: October 2011 embrace day of change!
Calypso and the Quebradita, while the 6th Form took part in a different type of dance activity called Lindy Hop, a jazz dance that draws on African/Caribbean traditions.
The whole day was a great success and even the teachers got involved by dressing up to represent the theme of “Change”, such as the Year 9 tutors who were dressed as characters from ‘The Incredibles’ and the Year 8 tutors who dressed up as builders!

Salsa dancing
you can face during the course of your life. Year 9 also took part in a physi- cal activity where they learnt how to do “Parkour” (free running) with the help of teachers from outside of school. This was a great experience and gave all pupils the chance to try something new. Year 9 also created purses with the help of the DT Department.
At Upper School, Year 10 took part in a discussion on the changing role of women in advertising. For their physical
activity, Year 10 took part in a yoga
class. Year 11 did “Zumba”, a dance and fitness exercise which
includes
dance styles like Samba, Salsa,
