The new curator of the East Surrey Museum in Caterham is Christopher Taylor of Coulsdon who has been a regular volunteer at the museum in the town’s Stafford Road.


Christopher, married with two children, and a tax accountant, has a masters degree in archaeology from the University of London. He specialises in the Stone and Bronze Ages.


At present Christopher is overseeing exhibitions on local asylums and the Guards connections with Caterham.


The previous East Surrey Museum curator Johanna Gummett compiled a book called Caterham: A Home For The Guards which is available from the museum’s shop.
