CHRISTMAS MARKET BATH (24 November - 11 December) Running for an extra week this year due to popular demand, the picturesque area between Bath Abbey and the Roman Baths will be transformed into a shopper’s haven as the Christmas market commences. www.bathchristmasmarket.co.uk

CHRISTMAS MARKET, LINCOLN (1 – 4 December)


Since 1982, the usually quiet city of Lincoln is transformed as over 160,000 visitors make their way up Steep Hill to the annual German Christmas market. The fi rst of its kind in the UK, the market started out with just 11 stalls but now boasts over 250.

PARTY LONDON (15 December) Each year Action for Kids, a charity that supports disabled young people, hold their Christmas reunion party for its benefi ciaries. This is an opportunity for disabled youngsters to get on the dance fl oor and


themselves. This year, the charity is also holding a Christmas Appeal to raise money for Lucy, a 17 year old who suffers from a rare genetic condition, to assist her in getting a tandem tricycle to help her mobility. www.actionforkids.org

TOURS, CARDIFF (11 – 16 December) Take a step back in time at Cardiff Castle and fi nd out how Christmas was celebrated in the Victorian times.
