Recruitment Recruitment is an area we have kept a close eye on during 2011 as inevitably the demand for in-house recruiters is a reliable barometer of the economic climate and the mood of organisations. We are pleased to report there has been an increase in demand for recruitment specialists in all sectors as growth strategies were implemented. This has not lead to a marked increase in salaries yet but we account for this mainly as a result of salaries having fallen behind as demand was low in the previous year.
Global recruitment strategy features heavily in senior roles as companies compete in the global market, so too does employer branding, employer value proposition, commercial awareness and market intelligence.
Quality recruitment specialists will stand out from others by demonstrating a commercial business mind and capability to add real value.
Reward
Led very publically by the financial sector all industries have seen considerable activity in both the strategic and operational reward arena.
Indicative of the global recovery, there is a high demand for organisations to review traditional pay structures and have a fresh look at benefits to fit with today’s priorities. Featuring heavily has been performance merited pay, executive compensation and multi - national reward.
This area has seen the benefit of increases in salary and we are confident of a strong recruitment market in this specialism going forward.
Organisational Development Continued to be at the forefront of the strategic HR agenda during 2011, Ashley Kate HR saw demand for organisational development specialists increase as businesses develop their capability to continuously adapt to the changing global market and social conditions.
Growth in this area is expected well into 2012 as businesses implement global operating and culture change and establish new sets of defined values and behaviors to drive excellent performance and full engagement.
As we move into 2012, both permanent and interim OD specialists will be in demand and salaries will remain high.
