shipped to the Bakken. “They come in by truck,” Webster said. “Several are being leased or purchased to be onsite offices.”
Webster said getting the units to the Bakken can be pricey. The company is building its fleet inventory to minimize the expense.
“There’s a lot of incoming loads but no return loads so it’s very costly to ship to western North Dakota and eastern Montana,” he said. “Having our own drivers and owning our own trucks makes it more cost effective.”
During a typical week three to five
units will arrive. Most of them are leased by construction companies for storage areas or by oil companies needing quick office space.
“The construction side of it has slowed down because of the time of year, but office space for oil companies is ever increasing,” he said.
Webster said renting is quicker and easier than building new offices in the short term. In the long run, it’s more cost effective to buy the needed space and rented or leased modular units can be switched out for larger sizes or purchased
