Listening Clubs: January 25–March 28, 2012
This unusual approach to exploring music will vastly widen your spectrum of knowledge, your excitement about listening and your confidence as a concert-goer. Boston Conservatory faculty member Lila Brown will lead you through composers’ life stories, music from the vantage point of a performer with live demonstrations, easy explanations of forms, comparisons of different interpretations and introductions to a treasure trove of music you have not heard, with lively participation and discussion. No musical background required.
