June-July 2011 South West Building & Construction 21 TINHAY BUILDING SUPPLIES
Three sites
know what works and what doesn’t! They have focussed on giving customers what they need and grown Tinhay Building Supplies so it now operates from three sites - Lifton, Launceston and Tavistock.
Their newest branch,
Tavistock, opened on Pixon Lane in April. It is managed by Karen Curtis and her six- strong team, who bring the company’s total number of employees to 26.
Robert said: ‘People in the
building trade are busy and need a reputable company to provide them with good and prompt service, expert advice and competitive prices. Tinhay Building Supplies does just that.
‘We feel strongly about supporting local businesses wherever possible and have expanded our network and improved our product and service range to ensure that our three branches can help local builders to do the same. ‘We are bigger than people think as each of our three branches carries a core range of products as well as a specialist selection of goods and services. something in stock at one branch, we will arrange for it to be at the customer’s nearest branch within a few hours - it’s like having three branches under one roof. We also offer free local delivery, with no minimum order value - just one more thing to make doing business with Tinhay Building Supplies a little easier.’
