SANDS Chartered Civil and Structural Engineers, based in Exeter, was established in 1991 and in the last 20 years has been involved in many major developments throughout the West Country. The award-winning practice has built a reputation for delivering a fast and friendly service with a commercial approach to all projects from basic structural surveys to multi-million- pound developments. Sands has a development planning team which complements the civil and structural expertise offered by the practice and enables the consultants to undertake projects from the early pre- planning stages through to detailed design.
Recent projects involving Sands have included:
*Many buildings at Poundsbury (structural design) - see pictures
*250-house residential
development at Dawlish (all infrastructure design works) *Development of infrastructure of 30-acre business park
*Luxury hotel in North
Devon (structural and infrastructure design)
*Community hub and residential development, Fulham (structure and timber frame design).
The practice is now recruiting for a drainage engineer, highway engineer, structural engineer and detailer.
