Where to Stay

Walk on the Our very own Devon Underhill stays at The Inn at Woburn and goes on Safari

After an easy journey, we arrived to The Inn at Woburn three hours early, and we were delighted to hear that our ticket for Woburn Safari Park was ready despite the fact that we were not due until two o’clock. In addition to this, the room was also ready for us and to our surprise we had been upgraded to a beautiful cottage. Upon arrival we were greeted with flowers and chocolates, which went down nicely later that evening.

Within an hour we were travelling around

the breath-taking safari park, where the animals came right up to the windows. We took so many pictures and found it to be a great place for children and adults alike to see the animals in an environment that was both adult and animal friendly. We thought this was so amazing that we actually drove around the safari twice. The monkey’s were even more intriguing, and enjoyed a nice ride on the car bonnet through the monkey habitat!

By the time we got back to our room our bottle of Champagne had arrived. This was a nice way to relax before our eagerly awaited dinner. When we headed down to dinner at Olivers restaurant our table was all set up and ready for us. The dinner was perfect in every way, but I have to say the dessert was my favourite (who wouldn’t like a chocolate, caramel and strawberry ice cream with thick chocolate sauce???) All of the staff were brilliant - when you needed anything they were there in a second and one particular lady named Laura could not have done more to make us feel extra special.

‘There is still a child in everyone and I have to say I was extremely excited about my stay at the Inn at Woburn and my visit to Woburn Safari Park.’

After a good night’s sleep, we were down to the dining room again for a nice hearty fry-up. With an hour to spare before checkout, we relaxed with a cup of tea, a choccie biscuit and a little TV in our room before packing up, checking out and heading to Woburn Abbey. The Abbey was amazing - a lovely, peaceful walk around the grounds was a great way to finish our fantastic weekend. I will definitely recommend The Inn at Woburn to family and friends and will be visiting again soon.
