INTERIORS UK returns to the NEC, Birmingham from 22-25 January 2012, the annual celebration of design which champions brand new products and unique concepts from the breadth of the interiors industry. From the traditional to the modern and contemporary, INTERIORS UK is the perfect opportunity to source for retailers, interior designers, architects, contractors and developers.

In line with the product categorisation process that has been taking shape over the past few years, areas within the show have been given their own individual identities - Fabric, Design Elegance, Décor, Living Lifestyle, Contemporary Design, Flooring and Lighting. Lighting will again be situated in Hall 3, with the latest collections brought to the forefront by exhibitors such as Elstead Lighting, Firstlight, Endon Lighting,

Searchlight, Oaks Lighting, Illuminati, Inspired Lighting, Interiors 1900, Impex Russell, JH Miller and Aimbry. Fiona Elliott, former

lighting buyer at Habitat who now runs buying consultancy Elliott Associates, will be

speaking on the seminar programme focusing on The Value of Lighting to the Interiors market. Her talk will cover how lighting can enhance a retailer’s existing offer and deliver a more profitable business, incorporating advice on the key ranges to develop, display ideas, legislation to be aware of and the help and guidance that is available to retailers. Designersblock are back, producing a creatively driven, vibrant, relaxing and stimulating hub where visitors will be able to socialise, network and view the latest design talent from new and emerging designers including Charlie Sekers and DonnaWalker,

who bring a sense of fun into their lighting designs. This Design Village will consist of a ‘Local’, market stalls and interactive areas with demonstrations and games. Visitors will be able to pop into the bar and have a chat with a different design expert each day including Alex Brownless, co-founder of Artsthread; design journalist and author, Helen Parton; Clifford Leo Harris, designer and trend analyst and Annabelle Filer, owner and curator of SCIN Gallery.
