PARK PACKS Have you ever wanted to do fun
and educational outdoor activities with your children, scouts or home school group, but didn’t know where to start? The West Des Moines Parks and Recreation Department has put together “Park Packs” to help you get started. These packs will give you the knowledge and activities to get your family out and enjoying nature. You will be able to check out the “Park Packs” from the Nature Lodge. We currently have packs available on insects, birds, mammals, GPS Geocaching and life in the pond. Come and check one out today!
BIRTHDAY PARTIES!!
Birthdays are special, and we have some great ways to celebrate them! Choose from various themes and leave the planning details to us!! Our parties include: set up; a reserved space for your event; a party host or hostess; a theme related activity; cake; ice cream; juice; paper goods; and most importantly….the clean up!! All parties cost $110 for the first 12 participants (including the birthday child) and are two hours in length. An additional fee of $10 per child will be charged for parties larger than 12, with a maximum of 15 participants allowed. *PLEASE NOTE: All party participants must meet the minimum age required for each specific party!!* To schedule your special date, please call 222-3424. Reservations must be made at least 2 weeks in advance.
