SPECIAL INTEREST BABY-SITTER TRAINING

This course provides youth (recommended ages 11 to 15) with the information and skills necessary to provide safe and responsible care for children. This training will help students develop skills in leadership and professionalism; basic care; safety and safe play; and first aid. Participants learn to prevent, prepare for, and respond to babysitting emergencies. Students need to bring a sack lunch and money for vending machines if needed. DATES: January 7 and March 10 TIME: 9am – 4pm LOCATION: WDM Community Center

CHILD CARE PROVIDER

This course offers caregivers a plan to follow when a child is injured. The plan builds on the Emergency Action Steps, Check-Call-Care, taught in the Adult, Child and Infant CPR (Community CPR) course and incorporates additional steps, the emergency follow-up steps, which are carried out after the emergency is over. This course meets First Aid requirements for most caregivers or for others needing First Aid certification. DATE: February 18 TIME: 8am – 4pm LOCATION: WDM Community Center
