Performed by an international cast, this new work by Jericho House restores surviving music that would have accompanied the play when it premiered 400 years ago. For the first time sound and narrative are reunited in this greatest of meditations on territorial conflict, displacement and political renewal. The Tempest is being performed from 21 September - 22 October 2011 at 19:45, with Saturday matinees at 14:00, Tickets are £21 and the play runs for 105 minutes with no interval. Wake up and smell the coffee in Fortune Park


ortune Park finally has its own coffee bar and what delicious coffee is available there too! Award winning Barista Lee Harte is the wonderfully up- beat Australian owner of the Giddy Up coffee bar, which he set up just three months ago following his work for Pitch 42 in Whitecross Street and Dose in Long Lane. Lee uses a smooth, mellow but substantial coffee from another award winning local business, Square Mile Coffee.

Between 8-4.30pm Monday to Friday and 10-4pm Saturday and Sunday you can enjoy a really good cup of coffee, a slice of homemade cake and an uplifting serve of community spirit and cheerfulness from Lee or his colleague Alice and their many regular customers. For those of us who use the park and playgound regularly Lee’s business is a long-awaited and much appreciated addition to our community. The old hut in Fortune Park has planning permission to be


converted for cafe use and when winter comes Lee is adding chairs, tables and a heater to the outdoor area. And for the composting enthusiasts among us he can also boast a wormery for the coffee grounds! - SR
