Minority-Owned Liberty Power Chosen by Novo Nordisk for Green Initiatives

ovo Nordisk, Inc., the global health- care company known for its innovative leadership in diabetes care, will soon work with one of the largest minority-owned en- ergy firms in the USA. In addition to offer- ing Novo Nordisk significant savings over a two-year term, the contract with Liberty Power will offset Novo Nordisk’s entire carbon footprint by minimizing fossil fuel consumption.

which emphasizes social, financial, and environmental responsibility. All Novo Nordisk facilities, including

the LEED Silver certified building located on the company’s Princeton campus, use many of the “green” programs available in the marketplace. The state-of-the-art LEED Silver building, which was constructed in part with recycled materials, uses low-flow plumbing to minimize water consumption and harvests light to minimize electricity consumption. With numerous company- wide recycling programs, Novo Nordisk, Inc., is constantly striving to maintain a best-in-class work environment with the least amount of impact possible on the nat- ural world.
