(IS&CF), themed “Building Bridges To- gether,” was held October 5–8 in Oakland, CA, also known as the U.S. Gateway to Commerce. This premier event hosts one of the largest career fairs for Hispanics in science,


technology, mathematics (STEM). engineering, and The traditional


workshop sessions were presented under a newly restructured curriculum through the MAES PLUSS Program, focusing on lead- ership, teamwork, communications, ethics, and innovation. University students also competed for academic scholarships, pre- sented cutting-edge technical research, and participated in the fast-paced College De- cathlon competition. Originally founded in 1974, MAES’s mission is to promote, cul- tivate, and honor excellence in education and leadership among Latino engineers and scientists.
