GEORGIA INTERNATIONAL HORSE PARK, CONYERS, GEORGIA
I
t’s not often that riders can boast of having ridden at an Olympic venue, but visitors to the Georgia International Horse Park can legitimately claim that distinction. Located in Conyers, Georgia, about 20 miles east of Atlanta, the Horse Park was the location of the 1996
I
Olympic Equestrian events. With the Games having long passed into history, the legacy of the Olympic Games remains in the form of a world class eques- trian center that also happen to have over 15 miles of dedicated horse trails available to the trail riding community.

coded trails t h at wi nd through wood- ed areas, open meadows and over streams. About five
miles of trail allow riders access to the Big Haynes
Creek Nature Center area where native, and protected, plants abound. While there is an RV park on the premises this really
isn’t a horse camping type area, unless you’re in one of the many shows or other events that the Park hosts, the Georgia International Horse Park is a day-use area.
Have a wonderful and wild month of riding adventures as you enjoy the fall riding season wherever the trail takes you. I’m looking forward to next month when we carry on with our quest for more scenic riding areas across the nation. As always, for more information on these and other equestrian riding destinations throughout the U.S. please visit
