Diddle Folk Catherine “Kate” Diddle Folk,


93, beloved wife, mother, grandmother and friend was received into the arms of her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Friday, October 21, 2011. Kate’s celebration of life service was held 11:00 a.m. Monday, October 24, 2011 at Trinity Lutheran Church with Pastors Paul Neumann and Steve Henze officiating. Interment followed at Fairfield Cemetery. Visitation was from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday, October 23, 2011 at Capps Memorial Chapel. Mrs. Folk was born September


16, 1918 in Whitesboro, Texas, to parents Olis and Susie Stephens Diddle. After marrying Allen Folk in 1942 they lived and raised their ten children in Houston before moving to Fairfield upon Al’s retirement in 1980. Kate was a committed Christian who spent her entire life giving of herself in serving others to the glory of Jesus. Her greatest joy, outside of serving her Lord, was the love she had for her family and friends. She will be deeply missed by all who loved her and were blessed by her life. In addition to her parents Kate was preceded in death by her husband Al of 55 years; a daughter, Alana Lauder; a grandson, Ronnie Folk, Jr.; sons-in-law, Gary Laxton, Sr.; Charles Lauder and D. J. Susen. Pallbearers will be grandsons, Lawrence Josey; Keith Folk; Denny Folk; Jimmy Lauder; Greg Laake; Timmy Lauder; Doug Laake; Matt Mattice; Gary Laxton; Steve Edwards and Dustin Laxton. She is survived by her children, Gwen Josey and husband T.J.; Richard Folk and wife Sandra; Amber Folk; Ronnie Folk and wife Tommie Jane; Deanna Mattice and husband Frank; Kenny Folk and wife Judy; Marion Susen; Tammy Edwards and husband Jack; Lisa Laxton; 25 grandchildren, 51 great-grandchildren, four great- great-grandchildren; sisters, Wanda Meacham and Jerri Flint; a brother, Bill Diddle and sister-in-law Billie Diddle, along with a host of dear nieces and nephews. Tolbert Casey


Tolbert Casey, resident of


Fairfield, passed away on Thursday, October 20, 2011 at St. Lukes Hospital in Houston at the age of 79. He was born in Freestone County on February 19, 1932 to Talbert Casey and Velma Hughes Casey. He served his country in the United States Air Force serving in Korea during the Korean War. He owned Casey Chevrolet in Fairfield for 19 years. Preceding him in death are


his parents, sister Linda Hull, and brother Billy Casey. He is survived by his wife Jean Casey of Fairfield. Children: Steve Casey and wife Pam, Brenda Scott and husband Larry, Carla Casey, and Jeff Casey and wife Amber all of Fairfield. Fourteen grandchildren and sixteen great grandchildren. Also there is a brother Donald Casey of Fairfield and two sisters, Lera Wren of Fairfield and Barbara Sartor of Teague and number of nieces, nephews, extended family members and close friends. Visitation with the family was


held on Saturday evening from 6 - 8pm at Griffin - Roughton Funeral Home in Fairfield. Funeral services were Sunday afternoon at 3pm at the Round Prairie Baptist Church with Bro. Ed Ridge and Bro. Don Vail officiating. Musical arrangements selected by the family were How Great Thou Art, Precious Memories, and Amazing Grace by soloist Steve Black and pianist Janet Sustaire. Pallbeares were Grandsons:


Justin Casey, Casey Morris, Kiel Casey, Blair Casey, Brent Scott, Blake Scott, Chance Casey, and Colten Casey. Honorary pallbearers were Harold Sanchez, Dr. Harold Moore, J.W. Johnson, Eddie Tarrant, Clois Smith, Vic Howell, Danny Kincade, Dr. J.H. Keller, Bryan Jordan, Wallace Neil Moore, Lloyd Benedict, and Roger McCrary. Burial followed at the Fairfield Cemetery. Thursday, September 29, 2011, at his residence in Birmingham, England. Robert Gordon Fulcher, best


known in the community as Robin, was born in Corsicana on Friday, February 13, 1981, to Deborah and Joseph Fulcher of Teague. He attended Eighth Avenue


Baptist Church where he was saved and became an active member when living in Teague. Robin joined the Scouts as a Tiger Cub when he was in the first grade and remained active with Boy Scouts of America, fulfilling the requirements for Order of the Arrow and completing the ranks until he achieved the top honor of Eagle Scout in 1999, his senior year at Teague High School. During his years at Teague, Robin excelled in his education and music. He learned to play piano and was a member of the Teague Lion Band for five years, eighth through the twelfth grades. He played percussion and drums as well as guitar and bass in a local band during this time. Robin graduated from Teague High School with the Class of 1999, earning the highest honors and fourth in his class. After graduation, he entered into service with the U.S. Marine Corps. He completed his basic training at MCRD in California and served in the ROTC program until his discharge while attending Tarleton State University in Stephenville. Robin earned Bachelor of Science and Master’s Degrees in Computer Information Systems from Tarleton State University and moved to Waco to teach at TSTC. After developing a passion and love for teaching, he began his studies towards a PhD in Education. In February 2009, Robin accepted a teaching position in research at the University of Birmingham n England. He wrote and his work was published on the research documentation on the subject of Micro-Expressions and their response. He attended and taught lectures on his subject in Ireland, France, and Spain. He was continuing his education at Oxford University, successfully defending his dissertation in Psychology and achieving his PhD. Robin had also successfully passed his final comprehensive exam toward his Doctorate in Education. He would have soon completed and held a double

She lived in Waco for many years and was active in church at Grace Temple Baptist Church. Mrs. Smith lived in Wortham and Teague in her later years and continued to practice her faith at Eighth Avenue Baptist Church and First Baptist Church in Teague where she was presently a member. She enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren, talking on the phone with her friends, and sending cards for every occasion. She is survived by three
