The Brotherhood of Hudson Fire Fighters came together at Dr. H. O. Smith School on Saturday, 22 October 2011 at 6 p.m. to celebrate their accomplishments over the last three years. The brotherhood is made up of three groups, all with slightly different functions, but all deal with the firefighters: the town, who is the employer; the local union, which represents the firefighters in employee relationships with the town; and the Firefighters Relief Association, where current firefighters and retired firefighters belong to the association. Following the presentation of the colors by the Department’s Honor Guard, accompanied by a bagpiper, Chris Spitilare greeting from Lieutenant Michelle Rudolph and Captain Dave Morin, dinner was served. After dinner, Capt. Morin recognized the businesses that helped with the


9/11 Memorial that was recently completed. Each business was presented with a framed embroidered 9/11 NY/NJ patch. Businesses honored were Hudson Monument represented by Dan Cote, Brox Sand and Gravel, the Hudson Highway Department represented by Gilles Dube and Bay State Welding. Deputy Chief Buxton recognized the officers recently appointed officers of the Explorers Post. They are: Explorer Chief Nick Perault, Captain Brendan Perault and the lieutenant position was awarded to Paul Bourque Fire Chief Murray swore in new members of the professional force. New employees who were pinned: Firefighters Sarah Graham, Leslie Scott, Craig Benner, Dispatcher Amanda Turcotte, Call Firefighters Brian Alley, Scott Larose, Matt Emanuelson, and Kevin Maier.
