Richard C. Pelletier


Richard C. Pelletier, 80, of Salem, died November 2, 2011, at Bedford Hills in Bedford. He was born in Methuen, MA, where he grew up and attended schools. He was a former resident of Salem. Mr. Pelletier was a self- employed cabinet maker.


He was an Air Force veteran, serving during the Korean War. He was a former parishioner of St. Monica’s in Methuen, and St. Joseph Church in Salem. Mr. Pelletier enjoyed carving and woodworking, but his passion was painting, and was a former President of the Merrimack Valley Artist’s Association. He volunteered his time doing restorations work at St. Theresa’s Church in Methuen.


He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Pauline (Chalifour) Pelletier of Derry; son, Daniel and his wife Robyn Pelletier of Derry; daughter, Karen Lombari of Saco, ME; sisters, Mary Gaudette of Methuen; Sister Claire Pelletier and Sister Theresa Pelletier, both of Biddeford, ME; six grandchildren, two great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. A funeral Mass will be celebrated Friday,


November 4, at 11 a.m. at St. Joseph Church, Salem. Burial will follow in Forest Hill Cemetery, Derry.
