The Palette of Knowing Silent Laughter on Life's Canvas

Everyday commonplace pal- ettes of emotion elucidate across the fathoms of open horizons, catching human glares unaware and while pon- tificating upon itself, grasps the benign wishes as they wink and close their daily canvas of desires. Outwardly there are no signs, or warnings, but the joys of laugh- ter

inwardly to pac- ify satisfactions from the person- ality emulsions blurring the lines of each day's vicarious accom- plishments, and the effortless shift into unconscious child- hood rhythms at the end of each day.

Silence, in it's own right, holds dearly to presumptive attitudes, often carrying the

Waltzing thru those outcomes derived from such infinite colors on the palette of life, brings one relent- less acceptance, the unconscious laughter wrapped in silence, tip-toe- ing over and thru those

human condition by individu- als laughing in respectful and knowing silence.

Seasoned ulterior thought patterns don't necessarily dic-

tate those projections into reality, though outwardly the emotional colors themselves, promulgate their origins, thus giving the rise to lazy smirks, that develop rapidly

undulating brainwaves tossed humorously, onto the subjec- tive individual canvas. These events are usually followed by unweighted and silently repeating rainbow remarks, congratulating the inner child for it's conceptual and unas- suming palettes of dialogues strewn across

life's canvas.

We all know that though the paint is easy to throw onto the canvas sometimes as an adult, imitating

nature's artwork,

that the innocence found in the canvas of our unfettered childhood, often takes a life- time to bring back into focus, and only maintains it's purity, when that particular laughter from knowing, is consumed with silence.

Novembers's Artist of the Month is... Cindy Wood of Sonoma County! Bio written by Cindy herself.

PETALUMA, CA. ~ For the past 3 years I have been redis- covering the joy of creating. I credit this resurgence of creativ- ity to several things but it coin- cided with the support of friends and community, meditation and Oneness Blessing, Nia Dance, and a little therapy! All of which helped me get "unblocked." I went to Boston University School of Fine Art, learning clas- sical art disciplines in 1984, and then went on to receive a BFA in Graphic Design. I often tell peo- ple that art school “ruined” the creative process in me. Getting grades for art, dealing with com- petition, and not being inspired contributed to my losing inter- est in creating art. As a career, I used my sense of composi- tion, color and layout working as a graphic designer, working for businesses creating brochures and package design. So all these

many years later, I am diving back into creative process. I am fascinated (and sometimes frus- trated) with how it works, when it feels right and what puts me in the "flow." Becoming connected to the natural world and medita- tion has inspired me to create art that comes from the heart. I have found that meditation, music, and movement in dance seem to be "right brain" activities that put me in a place where I can more easily create works of art that I find exciting. I particularly love work that speaks visually about our universe, energy, and dreams...those things that point to the sacred and mysterious spirit of life. I recently moved to Petaluma from Cape Cod, Massachusetts with my husband and two sons. We are loving the people and the landscapes of Sonoma County.
