Yes, this is the way l looked back then. And now? Much different. But,
the dreams
have changed and the goals have stayed the same. Not obsessive goals,
but goals
with purpose and meaning. There are times when my daughter asks me inquisi- tive questions, and a flood of images flow fluidly through my brain instantly. I reflect when I am playing a game of two square with her and what it was like when I was in the 5th & 6th grades. This was a time when these games were played at every break with my friends and aquaintances. daughter was frustrated and would ask why I was laughing, and honestly I would tell her it was because I was having fun. It was really simple. I like pla- ing complicated games, but I really enjoy simple games just as much. It is like ten- nis. A very simple game. You serve the ball and it comes back until someone misses and it is a lot of fun. I do how- ever, enjoy a game of golf on occassion. Although I've only played 9 games this year, it is my plan to play a few more. I play because I really enjoy the challenge of self control and I know I can always go back and play the same course if I don't do to well. It is like this paper that I produce. I learn new techniques each issue. I don't always do it right,

hiked, played music, drew artwork and painted and continuously educated myself through college classes and books. Back then I was driv- en as I am today...but even more so now. It is the journey that keeps me positive. Many seeds, many trees when well attended to, I say. Challenges to keep me positive and on track to become a better person each day. Friends, family and a mirror to remind myself that I'm on the right track and can always improve. I hope this issue helps you maintain a positive state of mind from this day forward!
