ARMTECH SHOWCASE OF INDUSTRY & TECHNOLOGY REBRANDED AS MADE IN PA EXPO; SET FOR APRIL 2012
The Pittsburgh Technology Council, the Armstrong County Board of Commissioners, and the Armstrong County Industrial Development Council (ACIDC) have announced that the Pittsburgh Technology Council will assume the management of the industrial exhibition previ- ously known as ARMTech. The major regional trade show will be renamed the Made in PA EXPO, and it will shift its focus from one previously heavy in electro-optics and defense-related exhibitors to encompass a broader range of manufacturers throughout southwestern Pennsylvania. The rebranded expo will include a new agenda
and format, while keeping many of the elements that made ARMTech successful. The new name was meant to coincide with the Council’s Made In
PA magazine, wherein a special edition will be published at the time of the expo. Typically held each year in August, the inaugural Made in PA EXPOwill be moved to the spring of 2012, in order to provide for a smooth transition among previous and future organizers. By moving ARMTech from
a purely
Armstrong County focus to a more regional focus, organizers say that it will allow for even higher visibility and more business opportunities, not only among the firms of Armstrong County, but for manufacturers throughout southwestern Pennsylvania. This transition and refocus to the Made in PA Expo will allow the exhibition to grow in future years, enabling it to be held at different locations throughout the region.
