he Cards for Good Causes multi charity Christmas Card has Charity Christmas cards
on sale from November 2-December 10 in Chesham United Reformed Church (next to the Post Office).
The shop has cards from over 30 charities and also a good range of advent calendars, advent candles, napkins, wrapping and stocking fillers. Open 10am-4pm, Monday-Saturday, and for the Christmas in Chesham evening on November 25.
Christmas concert
he Salvation Army presents A Christmas Carol Concert at the Elgiva Chesham on Monday 14 November 2011 at 7.30pm. The compere will be Bill Hamilton. Bill was a news reporter on BBC and has more than 50 years of media experience; he is a published author and football referee. Captain Ray Charlton of the Chesham Corps of the Salvation Army said, “Bill does a lot of work for the Salvation Army now.”
The Christmas Carol Concert will also feature the Central South Fellowship Band, the Dedicated Divas and the Germains Male Voice Choir. Tick: £10. A ChAV need your help
successful recent public meeting was held to get Chesham Action Volunteers ‘ChAV’ up and running again for the
forthcoming winter. Our Chairman Jane Bramwell outlined what had been achieved last year during the December snow and thanked everyone who had taken part. It was agreed that more volunteers were still required to keep the scheme working. Jane and Alison Pirouet had recently been giving presentations on ChAV to local villages so they could also get such a scheme up and running for themselves. ChAV is only as successful as the volunteers
