FINANCES
OUR FUNDRAISING GOAL
Under the dynamic leadership of Professor Mary Jacobus the Centre raised over £2 million to create and support its research programmes. In 2011 as CRASSH enters its second decade the aim is to secure funding for the Directorship. The Centre’s standing depends on attracting internationally recognised academic leaders from within Cambridge who can provide the vision and drive to keep the Centre thriving in today’s challenging climate. CRASSH has an important role to play not only in responding to the strategic needs of the Schools of Arts and Humanities and Humanities and Social Sciences but also in helping to shape the University’s longterm strategy for these disciplines. An endowed Directorship would ensure the University’s ability to continue to provide national and international leadership and vision in the humanities.
