with twelve tarantulas, also in the need to view each creature the hexagon unit can be revolved for the selected compartment to face the front.
On occasions I sometimes rotate the hexagonal terrariums a few compartments to view a particular spider especially if the spider is moulting.
The warfarin tablet holder The warfarin tablet holder of four seven day tablet holding turrets holds 28 warfarin tablets; in my case 5mg & 1mg, making 6mg/day, hence a fortnight’s capacity. For the one tablet of the same measure 28 days supply.
I designed and built the tablet holder in my workshop using 3mm thick perspex and turning the turret discs on my lathe, then making the four holder base itself to house these turrets completing the assembly.
My circular tablet holder differs from other basic and square partitioned tablet holders that are mass produced in moulded form. This one is individually engineered for the warfarin tablet only and a one off.
I came up with the idea after I was required to take warfarin myself. Taking this medicine requires very strict control – if taken incorrectly it could have very serious consequences for the patient.
Each tablet holder turret can be taken out from the four tablet holder base for access and the clear Perspex circular one holed top can be rotated, so that the hole is above the required day the tablet is needed and then tipped over to release the tablet itself.
If the four station tablet holder had been made part of the base then when tipping out the selected tablet the possibility would arise of more that one tablet being lost.
The main advantage or reason for such a tablet holder is because of the danger of not taking a tablet or taking more than one which could result in emergency treatment being required. Hence if there is no tablet in the hole for that day then it is more

than possible that it has been taken. If the tablet has not been taken then it will still be there in the hole for that day.
Filling up the turret tablet holders takes only a matter of minutes and it takes far less time to access each tablet from the holders than that of taking them out of the original packages.
There are many plastic tablet holders obtainable from chemists but none have this specific engineering approach for this particular serious warfarin tablet that does need dedicated control and has helped me beyond expectations by reducing any errors of memory.
