E&PDE
Cosmopolitan Conference
Clare Green, who attended the Conference for the first time, wrote of her experience, stating that ‘The environment, the welcome and the organisation were all smoothly and simply managed, by a very friendly team of City University staff and students led by Professor Ahmed Kovacevic and the Design Society and IED teams. The conference took place in a reasonably self contained and compact area around the newly renovated lecture theatre, creating a relaxed atmosphere and easy exchanges between delegates.’ This is testimony that although the Conference welcomes and enjoys seeing ‘old’ faces, it also receives and embraces ‘new’ delegates.
The Conference Dinner, which included a visit to the Design Museum, was an optional extra at this year’s Conference and from the comments received it would seem that many particularly enjoyed the visit and the walk from the Design Museum to St Katharine Docks via Tower Bridge. The beautiful evening and sunset meant that there were wonderful photographic opportunities along the route.
As in previous years, delegates were invited to vote for the Best Presentation, Best Paper and Best Student Paper of the Conference and this year another prize was added to the list, that of Best Poster Presentation. Congratulations to the prizewinners listed right.
We would like to thank Ahmed Kovacevic and Rowan Lord at City University for their proficient organisation of the event and for making the process smooth and enjoyable. In addition, we would like to extend our thanks to all of the scientific reviewers who gave
