Casa del Molino Samieira Map ref: C3 Web ref: 922 Sleeps 12 | 6 Bedrooms | 6 Bathrooms | Games Room | Beach 1.5km | Small Party Rate*

When first invited to view Casa delMolino,we could not anticipate the near perfect setting which awaited us: fromthe entrance gate, a sloping driveway through landscaped grounds led to an imposing granite house with its own large swimming pool set in the centre of a spacious lawned garden. As we stepped through to that garden, however, the panorama which revealed itself was literally breathtaking.

Virtually every point of the broad lawns on each side of the pool enjoys uninterrupted views over the waters of the Ría de Pontevedra, with the beaches ofMarín and Aguete on the opposite side of the estuary looking so close you could almost touch their pale golden sands. Just below you lies the waterside village of Samieira, with its sheltered beach, local shops and restaurants only a short walk away.As you would expect, the locally grown mussels and excellent seafood of all types, for which Galicia is so renowned, feature strongly onmenus.

Inside the house too, echoes of this spectacular waterside location are evident in the light and bright décor, with splashes of blue, green and aquamarine used to great effect in furnishings, rugs and fabrics. The comfortable sitting roomand principal bedroomabove face the water and have large picture windows to take in the entrancing views.

Although a relatively new building, the layout of its well proportioned public rooms, impressive polished wood stairway and bedrooms leading off a large galleried landing combine to give the feel of a traditional Gallego manor house. However,Casa delMolino is verymuch a family home and provides comfort and relaxation together with games and pastimes for the more actively inclined.
