Os Padrons Pintens (Hio) Map ref: D3 Web ref: 930 Sleeps 12 | 6 Bedrooms | 4 Bathrooms | Beach 100m | Small Party Rate*
Idyllic beaches of fine golden sand fringe the shoreline of the sheltered waters of one of Galicia’smost picturesque rías andmeandering lanes wind their way down to the waterfront through vineyards andmeadows. This is the delightful scene that surrounded us as we viewed Os Padrons, a smart coastal home that sits at the end of a small group of houses, overlooking a pretty ruralmeadow through which we walked just 100m to reach the sheltered sandy beach of Pintens.
Amore unspoilt and picturesque area of the Iberian coastline would be hard to
find.At themost westerly end of theMorrazo peninsula, between the local village of Hio and the headland of Punta Couso, rural lanes lead the way down to golden shores, backed by lush greenery and looking out across the Ría de Aldan.
Just a short walk away is the lovely sandy beach of Pintens. In the summer months of July and August, a local ‘chiringuito’ (beach bar) opens just behind the beach and fromhere a little path leads to a number of other equally enticing
beaches.Recently built and displaying an appealing contemporary style, the house has been designed to take full advantage of its enviable
location.Being at the coastal end of a lane of houses, it enjoys views out to sea that are uninterrupted and clearly visible from the lawned garden within which the pool sits.
The same coastal outlook can be enjoyed frominside, where large windows frame the scene and create a light and bright ambience for a smart décor of up-to-date furnishings, colourful fabrics and quality carpentry. Ideal for sharing families whomay seek a degree of independence fromtime to time, the accommodation is spread over two levels, access to the first floor being by way of a separate entrance at the side of the house.
Each floor offers three bedrooms, two bathrooms, a kitchen/breakfast roomand a living area.Whilst the house offers the perfect setting in which to enjoymeals overlooking the sea, the local village of Hio offers some excellent seafood restaurants just
1kmaway.Alternatively,only 6km further on is the charming waterfront town of Cangas with its bustling centre and wide range of shops and restaurants.
