Car Hire
Given the location ofmost of our properties, the use of a car is essential and moreover generally enhances the pleasure of your holiday by enabling you to explore the surrounding area at your own pace.We strongly recommend that you book your hire car at the same time as you confirmyour holiday property, to be sure of your choice of vehicle and the best
price. This is especially true of larger vehicles (people carriers for 6, 7,8 or 9 passengers)which are often in short supply.
When you book car hire with Vintage Travel, here are
some of the benefits: • Save time by dealing with all your accommodation, flight and car hire requirements in one call to our office (although we are also happy to arrange car hire even if you book flights independently)
• Booking your car in good time avoids the risk that your chosen vehiclemight not be available, especially for larger vehicles or at peak times
• Your vehicle will be ready and waiting at the airport of your arrival tomeet your flight, thus enabling you to proceed to your holiday property with the minimumof delay. It is equally simple at the end of your holiday, just return the car as instructed to the airport and proceed to your flight departure terminal
• Pay for your car hire in sterling, as part of your holiday invoice, with no risk of lastminute surcharges or exchange rate fluctuations
• The weekly vehicle rates quoted include unlimitedmileage and all local taxes.
Let us book your car hire The prices shown on the following pages are the weekly rates for car hire and are correct at time of going to press. We will confirmthe price of your chosen vehicle when you
book. For longer durations (e.g.8,9,10 days etc), the price will be calculated on the basis of 1/7th weekly rate, per additional day.
Vehicle hire of less than 7 days will usually be charged at 1/6th of theweekly rental per day (min 3 days). • The number of days’ rental is worked out on 24-hour periods fromthe time of pick-up. If you do not return the car at the specified time, youmay be liable for the cost of an extra day’s rental.
• Car hire is normally restricted to drivers of 23 years of age and
over.Theremay be a charge to cover additional insurance for younger drivers under the age of 25.
• Babyseats and roof racks should be requested when
booking.Below the weekly rental rates we show the approximate charges for these and other items where available, which are paid for locally when you collect the vehicle.
• The vehicle types described are for guidance on size and capacity only and the actual vehicle suppliedmay be of a differentmake andmodel.Whilst we will endeavour to request your preferred choice of vehicle, specificmodels cannot be guaranteed.
• Most vehicles are air-conditioned,denoted by‘A/C’. • We always require details of your flight (airport of arrival, flight numbers and timings) in order to confirma car hire booking.
