Ca’n Camarroja Pollença Map ref: A4 Web ref: 280 Sleeps 4| 2 Bedrooms | 1 Bathroom | Air Conditioning | Table Tennis | Beach 4km

Tucked into the peaceful Pollença countryside,Ca’n Camarroja is a comfortably furnished stone-cladMallorcan cottage with a very pretty pool and garden.Surrounded by enclosed, colourful grounds ofmature shrubs, palms and cacti, this characterful, former farmhouse is also bordered on one side by a large orchard of fig, lemon, plumand olive trees, as well as several ‘nispero’ (loquat) and almond trees.Relaxing around the private pool, it is easy to believe that you are in a deeply rural location when, in reality, a range of excellent amenities together with several gorgeous sandy beaches are all just a fewminutes’drive away.

For several generations,Ca’n Camarroja has been in the family of Pedro and Maria, the hospitable local owners.Maria says hermain wish is that guests feel immediately welcome and at ease – something we feel is verymuch achieved as you enter into the open plan ground floor fromthe shaded front terrace where the care and pride taken in looking after the house is evident and an inviting homely ambience quickly apparent.

Décor throughout is a simply-styled combination of the traditionally Mallorcan (fabrics,dark/light wood furniture, framed antique photos) with the contemporary (modern appliances, satellite TV, air conditioning in each bedroom).Outside the well-tended grounds host a small lawn and a choice of open and shaded terraces on which to relax in the sunshine.Partially covered by a grapevine, the front terracemakes a particularly appealing spot for open air dining to the accompaniment of gentle birdsong.

Being almost equidistant between the atmospheric town of Pollença (3kms) and the spacious curving beach at Port de Pollença (4.5kms) brings all amenities including a superb choice of restaurants within easy distance. Laid-back Cala Sant Vicenç (4 kms) also boasts two striking, family-friendly cove beaches as well as a further, comprehensive choice of shops, bars and cafés.

Designed with care and attention to detail, the interior is very well proportioned and features beamed ceilings, a bright, fresh colour scheme, attractive artwork and individual air conditioning in the living roomand bedrooms.Outside, extensive terracing, both covered and open, runs around the house with a good size lawn bordering one side of the ten metre long pool. All in all Ca’n Colet is amost welcoming home fromhome.Nearby Port de Pollença (8km)marks the start of a sweeping sandy bay that stretches as far as Old Alcúdia while Cala Sant Vicenç (7kms) has two further sandy beaches.
