Care to Learn

It is often a question of whether you can afford to study rather than the desire to study that worries people. Boston College aims to give you the best advice and guidance on financial support whatever your situation.

Learners following a Higher Education course (i.e. degrees and HNDs) are entitled to apply for a Student Loan through Student Finance England. The loan amount depends on individual circumstances.

For more information you can visit www. direct.gov.uk/studentfinance or contact the Careers Advisers.

For details on assistance with fees please contact Learner Services.

FEES AND COSTS

Full-time course tuition is free for those who are under 19 on 31st August of the year they start their course. For the over 19’s, fees for courses vary, with some concessions available depending on your circumstances. Fees also apply to Government subsidised courses for students ordinarily resident in the UK and most EU countries. Fees and costs are often subject to change so to ensure you have the most relevant and up-to-date information, please contact our Learner Services Team on 01205 313218 who will be able to assist you. Further details can be found in the College’s Fees Policy, available from Learner Services, or on the Boston College website - www.boston.ac.uk

HOW TO PAY

Payment must be made at enrolment and the College can accept cash, cheque and most major credit or debit cards. Where an employer is paying, a signed ‘Invoice Authorisation Form’ is required (available from the College’s Registry Department).
