CASE STUDY

Laura was attracted to Boston College’s relaxed and friendly atmosphere and says it often feels like a big family.

“College is much more grown-up and you’re given the opportunity to be an adult and be responsible but in a more relaxed environment than school, so there is a good balance, which I feel makes it easier to learn.

My tutors have been really great. They challenge your opinion and help you grow. You are treated like an equal so you have much more respect for them.”

Laura attended The Giles Academy but she originally grew up in Greece. She hopes to move back once she has finished her A-levels to study at the Aristotelio University.

Laura has also praised the Careers staff who have supported her in the Greek University application process. They encouraged her to apply, as initially she was quite apprehensive, but now she can’t wait to get there.
