Day 1: Board the Maharajas’ Express in Mumbai – Onto Vadodara This afternoon, assemble at 1400 hours at The Taj Mahal Palace and Tower, Mumbai and complete your registration and check in formalities at the hotel for the Maharajas’ Express. Following which, you will proceed to the Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus. On arrival you will board the Maharajas’ Express and will be greeted with a welcome drink.
Day 2: Vadodara. After breakfast, embark on an excursion to Champaner-Pavagadh Archaeological Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Later, relish on lavish lunch at Jambughoda Palace Post-lunch; embark on a tour to Maharaja Fateh Singh Museum and evening snack at Laxmi Vilas Palace. Dinner and overnight stay onboard the train.
Day 3: Udaipur Post breakfast; embark on sightseeing trips across splendid Udaipur. After a sumptuous lunch, enjoy a walking trip across the old bazaar, market, of the Udaipur city Dinner and overnight stay onboard the train.
Day 4: Jodhpur On arrival in Jodhpur, you will depart by surface to the enchanting realm of Rohet, a cultural destination in Rajasthan home to the Bishnoi tribe. Lunch will be served at Rohet Garh After lunch you can embark on an expedition to the Mehrangarh Fort. Later, return to train for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 5: Bikaner On arrival in the city, you will head to the Junagarh Fort, the first attraction to be visited in the city. Complete your trip to the city by enjoying a sand dune excursion and cultural performances by the Kalbeliya and Langa artists. Dinner and overnight stay aboard the train.
Day 6: Jaipur Post-breakfast; embark on a local sightseeing spree across the heart of Jaipur. Do not miss to savor on the Exhibition Elephant Polo Match and a lavish lunch with champagne. Explore the bustling markets of Jaipur post lunch. Later, return to train for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 7: Sawai Madhopur (Ranthambore) - Fatehpur Sikri Enjoy an early morning jeep safari through the Ranthambore National Park. Post safari, savor on the brunch aboard the Maharajas’ Express while you will travel down to Fatehpur Sikri, your next destination. On reaching the city, you can visit the local attractions housed here such as Buland Darwaza and Panch Mahal. Fatehpur Sikri is a celebrated UNESCO World Heritage Site. In the evening, return to the train for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 8: Agra - Delhi (Disembark) Early morning on the last day of the sojourn, you will travel to Agra, home to the grand structure Taj Mahal. Pride of India, Taj Mahal is also recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Later, you can take delight in a lavish breakfast at Taj Khema. Post-breakfast you can head to the Agra markets for purchasing some wonderful handicraft items and exclusive pieces of jewelry. While you treat yourself to a grand lunch aboard the Maharajas’ Express, the train will traverse back to Delhi to mark the end of the voyage aboard this India luxury train. The Princely India sojourn thus comes to an end
