One of Wales’ fi nest saxophonists, Lee Goodall, will be making a welcome return visit to Swansea Jazzland with the band The ‘J’ Word. Featuring keyboard player Dick Roberts, you can expect twists and turns on some well-known tunes plus great funky grooves! The Graham Harvey Trio is led by pianist Graham, who has worked with the likes of George Benson. He was musical director and the keyboard player of Incognito for 10 years, with whom he wrote several hit songs. We have heard him play at Swansea with the Laurence Cottle Big Band. Now we hear more from this talented pianist in a trio setting; Matt Skelton, drums, and Dave

Chamberlain, bass, complete the line-up.

American jazz saxophonist, fl autist and composer Greg Abate, continues as an international jazz/recording artist touring the globe 150 days a year. After graduating from Berklee College of Music, Greg played lead alto for the Ray Charles Orchestra for two years. Greg ventured out as post-hard bop soloist playing jazz festivals, societies and clubs throughout the US, Canada and Europe. Any Charlie Parker fans will love hearing Greg’s style of playing.

A singer of uncompromising integrity is Elaine Delmar. Her experience is wide and diverse and she has made numerous radio and television broadcasts and concerts singing with small groups, big bands and symphony orchestras around

the world. Last autumn, Elaine appeared alongside trumpeter Wynton Marsalis at the Barbican Centre, London. Elaine’s band includes Brian Dee, piano, Simon Thorpe, double bass, and Alex Garnet, saxophone.

Pete Allen is regarded as one of Europe's most talented and exciting masters of the clarinet. He brought together a musical style and stage presence that has created an enthusiastic following from both the traditional jazz fans and those who simply enjoy happy music and songs for both listening and dancing. Over the years, Pete has appeared on many

television and radio shows, both with his own band and as a solo artist. He has topped the bill in those magical homes of jazz, St Louis, Sacramento and of course, New Orleans, where he was awarded an Honorary Citizenship for his services to jazz music. He has also played alongside these American jazz greats: 'Peanuts' Hucko, Bud Freeman, Bob Wilbur, Marty Grosz, Billy Butterfi eld, Barrett Deems and Jack Lesberg.

Guitar Maestro Phil Robson won 'Best Jazz Musician of the Year' award in the 2009 - 2010 Parliamentary Jazz Awards. Robson is one of the most versatile musicians on the contemporary and international scene today as well as being a highly acclaimed leader & composer.

Paul Booth is one of the most exciting and in demand musicians on the scene today. Currently in the Steve Winwood Band, he has performed worldwide with the likes of Riverdance (for over two years), Eric Clapton and Matt Bianco, etc. He is a regular at Ronnie Scott's Jazz Club in London with his own band and others, and has performed several UK tours under his own name with the backing of Jazz Services and Jazz Action; Paul Booth, tenor sax, Ross Stanley, organ, and Andrew Bain, drums.

The year of 2011 concludes at Swansea Jazzland with the Cottle Brothers’ Christmas party night! David, Richard and Laurence get together to round off the year at Swansea Jazzland in style! The multi- instrumentalists will feature many styles of jazz and will be joined by guests during the evening.
