Annual Appeal Success
The ARC’s annual appeal to our supporters raised £6,000, plus gift aid, in donations which will go towards our core programme of work. We are so grateful to everyone who donated.
Greetings!
The idea of this letter is to share with you updates on development and fundraising at the Arthur Rank Centre. We have many reasons to be thankful this autumn. Thanks to the tremendous support of a number of funders the income deficit left by the loss of the Royal Agricultural Society as a partner of the Centre has been filled. We can now move forward with more confidence to tackle replacing the lost income stream
Vital Service Grows
Rural Stress Helpline, a confidential listening service for rural people, is now very much a permanent part of our ongoing pastoral work for the rural and farming community. We have continued to experience a rise in the number of calls to the helpline (1575 so far this year) to do with depression, relationships, business difficulties, isolation, finance, housing problems and divorce. We continue to deal with a large number of Single Farm Payment problems, which can be critical to farming families, a total of 188 SFP cases worth £8.5 million this year.
more permanently. A new collaboration with Enterprise PLC is providing pro bono financial management, and Associated British Foods is sharing the expertise of its marketing people. Thanks to God for the faith and commitment of all our supporters, ARC trustees, grant-making trusts, congregations, companies and individuals who continue to donate to the ARC in these financially difficult times.
