The Beacon Church of England Voluntary Aided Primary School

The Beacon Church of England Primary is a happy and inspiring school committed to providing the highest standards of education for every pupil. We believe in working together with families in developing pupils’ personal, social, cultural, spiritual and moral attributes in addition to the very strong emphasis that we place on good academic achievement.

We provide a friendly, fun and exciting learning environment where pupils thrive in the caring atmosphere and where high standards of behaviour and progress are clearly evident.

The Beacon works closely with the community and enjoys the opportunities that our location in the town centre and close to the seafront provides. We regularly use local facilities such as the sports ground and centre, the beach, gardens and the library, to enhance curriculum provision and to make learning real for our pupils. Our school also makes a strong contribution to town organisations and events.

As a church school, we are proud of our links with Holy Trinity and the town’s Christian groups. We are however an inclusive school which welcomes all, regardless of faith, respecting and valuing each as an individual.

Whilst this booklet is intended to give you an insight into our school, we would encourage you to come and visit so that you can see us in action. You can do this by ringing or dropping in to make an appointment in addition to coming along to our open afternoon held on the second Thursday in November.

We look forward to meeting you and your family.
