Eroica Trio BEST BET: Classical

PERFORMING ALONG WITH THE Vienna Symphony Orchestra at the Wharton Center will be the Grammy- nominated Eroica Trio. Taking its name from Beethoven’s Eroica Symphony, the trio has garnered attention for winning a Naumburg Award, multiple Grammy nominations, six recordings on EMI Classics, and for being some of the most attractive women in the cham- ber music world. As for the historic Vienna Symphony Orchestra, it was founded by Ferdinand Lowe in 1900 and has endured a long and eventful history through- out the First and Second World War up to today. For decades they have debuted works that have become undisputed staples in the orchestra community. The night will include performances of Beethoven’s Triple Concerto Op. 56, C Major and Brahms Symphony No. 2, Op. 73, in D major. Reported by Nicole Rico.
