page 2 T in the Park festive ticket sale date
The 18th consecutive T in the Park festival roared to a close in July this year on the back of a brace of blister- ing, full-on performances from some of the greatest acts on the planet. Arctic Monkeys, Coldplay, Foo Fighters, The Strokes, Beyonce, Pulp and Tom Jones plus many more performed across a multi-stage bill that was widely cited by fans and the industry alike as the strongest worldwide line up of the summer.
While fans reminisce memorable moments from 2011 with their mates and get ready to begin their planning to do it all again next year, organisers are delighted to reveal that a lim- ited general release of tickets for the 19th T in the Park festi- val will go on sale at 2011 prices at 9am on Friday 2nd De- cember from
www.ticketmaster.co.uk and by calling 08444 999 990.
Next year’s event will take place across the weekend of 6th – 8th July 2012.
Festival Director Geoff Ellis commented: ‘Plans for 2012 are already well underway here and once again we are securing some of the finest acts on the planet to perform before the world’s most passionate music fans. The time is now to secure tickets to the 2012 festival.’

MUSIC NEWS Scotland
your weekly digital newspaper MUSIC NEWS Scotland was born over 8 years ago when dial up broadband was still around and desktop pc’s ruled. So we did what had been done since 220 AD in China and every month put ink on a printing plate, ran some paper over it and hey presto MNS was published (okay it was a wee bit more involved than that, but the basic principle was the same!)

Move on to 2011 with high speed broadband and access to the www everywhere and the future was catching up with us rapidly. The volume of information flowing into MNS HQ was more than our monthly issue could cope with, and more and more Scottish music stories of great value were being spiked (an old press term not a dodgy drink). Reaching our vast number of readers in every conceivable nook and cranny of Scotland has always been a challenge monthly but to do that more often was physically not feasible.
So we have doffed oor tam o’ shanter to the future and gone weekly and digital - plus we now have twice the number of pages than our old printed friend! Along with our weekly GIGguide and FESTIVALS! supplement we are now pro- ducing around 70 pages of Scottish music news (and only music news) each and EVERY week:)
Thank you for your support over the last 8 years and please raise a glass to our digital future with you all.
